Homeschool at Camden Markets Collective
We pride ourselves on serving our community and have found a amazing community within the homeschool network far and wide.
We offer a range of workshops from craft, design and technology and woodwork, allowing us to help in the expansion of your kids knowledge.
Run by a fellow homeschool mum, local crafters, local small business owners and qualified carpenters we are here to support you and your children in their learning journey.
It takes a village to raise our kids even more so when we choose to homeschool and we want you to think of us as part of that village.

Our Programs
Our programs are designed to get your kids thinking, expand their skill set and learn new or forgotten crafts and skills that you might not have the skillset or resources to teach them.
Let your child’s imagination run wild as they learn to design their own board game, customise a wooden robot or sculpt monsters out of clay. The children explore controlled risk with using things like a saw, hand drills, sewing machines, laser machines and more.
It takes a village to raise our kids even more so when we choose to homeschool and we want you to think of us as part of that village.
Homeschool Frequently Asked Questions
We gathered the answers to some popular questions below. If you can’t find your question below feel free to contact us, and we’ll be happy to help.
When are the Workshops?
Workshops run each term, and on Mondays and Fridays. There may be some extra pop up classes on other days of the week, check our Calendar for more details
Where can we park?
There is street parking, council parking next to the civic centre and woolworths just behind the shop. Be mindful for street signs and parking limits.
Food and Drink?
As a general rule we ask that food not be consumed during a session to help keep the area allergy friendly.
Kids are welcome to bring a water bottle to have with them at all times and we have access to water should they need to top it up during the class.
What if my child had special needs or learning difficulties?
Everyone is welcome, we are here to work with you to make the most out of the program. We have kids with ADHD, Autism and physical disabilities take our classes every term.
We have a very easy going environment where we can adjust light if needed, give you earmuffs for loud noises, our tables are wheel chair accessible, and we have a communal fidget bucket of toys for when the fidgets hit.
We ourselves have kids who need some extra help and attention at times so we fully understand.
Indoors / Weather
All our classes take place indoors in a air conditioned room so no need to worry about the weather.
On the odd occasion when we might need some extra ventilation for a workshop there is an outdoor covered carport out the back of the shop that might be used. So again no need to worry about weather.
Where are we located?
All workshops run within our workshop space at 157 Argyle Street Camden at the back of our Collective.
What do I need to bring?
90% of all our workshops we provide everything, the only exception to this is our design and technology classes where students will be asked to bring along a laptop or tablet. If you don’t have one but want to take part, please reach out we have a couple that kids can borrow.
Do I as a parent need to be involved?
In general no, we actually encourage you to let your kids get creative and you can take a break, have a tea or coffee and relax.
For some of the woodwork classes some of the younger kids may need a helping hand we have at least 2 people of these classes teaching it and are her to help but parents help might be required at time.
That being said if your child needs your help to do tasks, you are welcome to help them, we can make space for you at the table with your child.
Is there an option for Work From Home Parents?
Yes we are happy to set up a table for you to bring your laptop, plug into power, use the wifi and work while we teach your kids.
What is my child is sick?
Workshops are booked as a full terms.
Unfortunately due to the nature of the programs we are unable to offer make up sessions.
If you are sick we appreciate it if you can let us know just so we don’t wait for you.
