We are currently taking applications for our
Camden Country Kids Market
Date: Saturday 29th August
Location: Camden Market Collective, 157 Argyle Street Camden
Time: 10am – 2pm
Stall Fee $20+gst for a 1 Table Space
Market is designed for kids to sell their product, person selling / making the items must be under the age of 18 and present on the day of the market.
Spaces will be in the workshop space within the store with access from from shop, stalls will be allocated at random.
You must man your stall for the time of the mini market. Items on your table will be sold directly through you not through the shop.
To apply fill in all the details below, and your application will be considered. We will email you to confirm your application.
Insurance is provided for public liability on the day, but product insurance is not included, this is at the discretion of the small business. You are require to list all ingredients clearly on any products being sold for consumption or skin use.
CAMDEN MARKETS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Camden Markets 2570 – Stall Holder Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions are binding to all stall holders and traders at any market or event hosted by Camden Markets 2570.
You will not be granted a spot at our event or market without acceptance to the following terms in full. No exceptions or alterations will be made for a individual or company to these terms. These terms are legally binding.
- Approved Products:
2.1 We ask that you comply to selling products that have been approved only by our events team. We are trying to limit overlap of products sold to aid each stall and provide an even and level selling field.
2.2 If you are wanting to add new products, please seek permission from the admin team.
2.3 It is your own responsibility that you conform to compliance standards relating to your own products sold.
2.4 Camden Markets 2570 reserves the right to ask you to remove any products that have not been pre approved from your stall at the event.
- Food stalls:
3.1 If you are selling approved food items you must have your licence and policy displayed at all times during trading hours.
3.2 If you are changing or adding food items, these must be approved prior to inclusion by the events team.
3.3 All food is to be prepared and handled within the guidelines of Australian food safety standards.
- Presentation:
4.1 Presentation is what will sell your products at this market – Please keep your stall presentation at a high standard.
4.2 You are required to clearly display your pricing and product information, ideally have it all printed out for neatness and clear presentation.
4.3 Stall holders should remain at your site for all customer enquiries.
4.4 Do not leave stalls unattended.
4.5 No responsibility will be taken for loss, theft or damage to your stall and or products – We strongly suggest you have an extra set of hands on the day to prevent this from happening.
5 Waste & Smoking:
5.1 All stall holders will be responsible for the removal and disposal of all rubbish and/or waste from your stall area.
5.2 Any boxes and packaging material must be removed from the centre.
5.3 Waste bins at the site are for GENERAL PUBLIC USE ONLY.
5.4 Please be mindful of keeping waste to a minimum.
5.5 Please leave your site and surrounding area clean and tidy and undamaged. Failure to do so may result in cleaning fees being charged directly to the stall holder.
5.6 Our market venue has smoke free zones – we ask you to maintain the centres rules and regulations.
6 Venue & Event Entry:
6.1 Entry to the event will be limited to the advertised times.
6.2 Entry to the venue will be granted to stall holders and their helpers (max 4 per stall) prior to public entry in order to set up.
6.3 Wrist bands will be required to be worn by all stall holders and helpers during the event, this will grand you free entry. Any one in addition to these 4 allotted entries will be required to pay entry to the market should a fee apply.
6.4 For markets were a entry fee is attached all members of the general public wishing to visit your stall will be required to pay this fee, no exceptions will be made from family, friends or additional helpers outside of your allocated 4.
6.5 Entry to the event for the general public will not be grated prior to the advertised times.
7 Social Media:
7.1 Social media will represent a big part of what will make this market a positive event for all, we strongly encourage everyone involved to like and share as much information about the event date and time as possible. The more feet through the door, the more potential customers for stall holders.
7.2 Event social media pages will be updated frequently throughout the day. This will involve the events team uploading photos of stalls and or patrons at the event.
7.3 Stall holders are asked to represent themselves and this market in a professional manner.
7.4 Additional information in regards to social media and copyright can be found in terms 13 & 15 below
8 Stall placement:
8.1 Camden Markets will make all decisions on stall placement, stall variety and stall position.
8.2 Many factors will be considered regarding the placement of stalls. These will be made to improve market conditions.
8.3 Camden Markets reserves the right to alter and change a stall holders position at any time as long as there is enough time to move from position A to B.
8.4 Spots can not be reserved or guaranteed from market to market.
10 Behaviour:
10.1 Visitors, consumers, and stall holders of Camden Markets 2570, as well as those visiting the sites our markets are conducted at, must be treated with courtesy at all times and in accordance with fair trading practice.
10.2 Stallholders must not insult or intimidate anyone including other Stallholders, customers, visitors and staff.
10.3 Failure to comply may result in the immediate closure of the stall/stalls in question.
10.4 You must not engage in any conduct which is disruptive or inconsistent with the running of Camden Market 2570 events.
10.5 Any behaviour that which is considered offensive, inappropriate or interferes with the enjoyment of other patrons within all facilities utilised by Camden Markets 2570 will be acted upon and may result in the patron being evicted and/or banned from future events.
11 Right of Refusal of entry:
11.1 The facility management and Camden Markets 2570 reserve the right to refuse entry and to evict any person at any time from the building at its sole discretion. This includes but it not limited to:
11.1.1 Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs
11.1.2 Dangerous or unsafe behaviour
11.2.3 Disorderly, disruptive, inappropriate, or antisocial behaviour.
11.1.4 Admission evasion
12 REFUND / CANCELLATION / NO SHOW POLICY:
12.1 It is a requirement that Stall Holders pay their entire fee in advance.
12.2 Upon acceptance of your application you will be required to pay the stall holder fee either via online payment method or transfer.
12.3 Payments in cash will only be accepted with prior arrangement made to the events team.
12.4 There is a non-refundable administration fee included in your invoice. This fee is $35 and will be payable by you for any of change of mind or late cancellations.
12.5 Stall fees are non-transferable.
12.6 A stall fee has a 7 day refund policy from time of purchase with proof of payment, as per fair trade. This 7day period does not apply if payment is made withing 14 days of the event. A cancelation after the first 7 days but before 14 days prior to the event will be assessed on a case by case bases and not guaranteed. All refunds are excluded of the admin fee.
12.7 Any cancelations made 14 days prior to the event will be non refundable under any circumstances except where required by law.
12.8 If the market is cancelled by the events team prior to the day of intended trade, or on the day of intended trade, Holders who have already paid will receive a credit for the following market day of trade, unless otherwise stated.
12.9 Transfers or refunds do not apply to No Shows on the day of the event.
12.10 No Shows on the day of event will forfeit their fees and will not have their bookings transferred or fees refunded.
12.11 A refund will not be issued for stall holders who do not have the appropriate license, certificates, council approval or insurance to trade. At time of booking and payment the applicant should have all insurance, certificates, approvals and license needed to trade. A copy of these will be required to be uploaded at time of application.
13 Photography and Marketing
13.1 Photos of stall holders, customers and their products may be obtained through designed photographers on the day of the event, via upload to the website during application, or via stall holder submission via social media, email, closed groups, messages or other ways of obtaining images.
13.2 I understand that by giving Camden Markets 2570 these images I am in fact transferring a license for use of these images to them and I will not receive any compensation in monetary value or other for the use of these images in the future or past.
13.3 Camden Markets 2570 reserves the rights to all photos obtained in this manner and can use them freely for the marketing and promotion of their markets, past and present.
13.4 Photos taken or submitted can be used in all forms of marketing for Camden Markets without credit to its original owner in all marketing material including but not limited to website, online digital advertising, social media, posters, catalogues.
13.5 All marketing material created and designed by and for Camden Markets is copyrighted to Camden markets and the original designer. These can be shared in the promotion of the event but at no time can they be shared with third parties, copied, re produced or altered.
13.6 Whenever marketing material is shared on social media by you the stall holder you must under all circumstances tag and credit Camden Markets 2570
14 EXCLUDED ITEMS
14.1 Due to the risk and sometime hazardous nature of products under our insurance we are lot able to have any market stalls that sell any of the following:
14.1.1 hazardous, flammable or dangerous goods (excluding candles);
14.1.2 explosive tools, fireworks, flammable liquid or bulk pool chemicals;
14.1.3 products intended to be used in connection with the navigation of vehicles, aircraft or watercraft;
14.1.4 parts for motor vehicles;
14.1.5 medical equipment;
14.1.6 guns and/or ammunition;
14.1.7 knives, swords or spears (excluding cutlery);
14.1.8 power tools;
14.1.9 motorised vehicles;
14.1.10 tobacco products and nicotine replacements, personal vaporizers products;
14.1.11 any alcohol products.
15 Further Terms and Conditions
15.1 Subject to complying with all relevant State and Territory legislation, the Camden Markets 2570 hereafter referred to as “the Promotor” reserves the right to amend, cancel or suspend this event if an event beyond the control of the Promoter corrupts or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the market. The Promoter will disqualify any individual who has tampered with the market or integrity of Camden Markets or any other aspect of this market.
15.2 The Promoter and their associated agencies and companies assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of venue or market, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
16 Copyright, Statutory guarantees, Waiver and liability
16.1 In consideration for the Promoter advertising the market stall or small business, the stall holder permits their submission, image and/or voice, as recorded, photographed or filmed during the event or events prior. The stall holders participation will appear in connection with Camden Markets 2570 or the advertising or marketing thereof, in any media whatsoever throughout the world and the stall holder will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
16.2 Each stall holder hereby assigns to the Promoter all right, title and interest in and to all copyright and all moral rights in any material created or otherwise submitted to the Promoter in connection with that entrant’s application or thereafter communication or participation in any aspect of the market. Each stall holder warrants that the Promoter is free to use their images and works (including modifying, adapting or publishing the images, whether in original or modified form, in whole or in part or not at all) and to exercise its rights in relation thereto and neither the market stall holder nor any third party will be entitled to any fee for such use.
16.3 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the market on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the market and recommence or move it to another date on the same conditions, subject to any directions given under State Regulation.
16.4 The Promoter does not exclude any rights and remedies in respect of goods or services under the Australian Consumer Law in the Competition and Consumer Act (2010) (Australian Consumer Law) which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. However, the remainder of this clause will apply to the fullest extent permitted by law and the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any stallholders/purchases/products/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by entrant or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this market or event, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this event including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of event.
16.5 The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the event. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
16.6 All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects personal information about you for the purposes of conducting this event, Any disclosure of such information will be made as required by law and in accordance with these terms and conditions but no further use of this information will be made without prior consent.
16.7. All applications become the property of The Promoter. All opt-in entries will be entered into a database and The Promoter may use the applicants names, addresses and telephone numbers for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid unless otherwise advised by the entrant. By opting-in, applicants confirm that they allow their details to be used for this purpose. If entrants no longer consent to their details being used for future marketing purposes, the entrant should contact The Promoter on their details set out below. Any request to update, modify or delete the entrant’s details should be directed to The Promoter.
16.8. The Promoter collects information about you, including for example your name and contact details which you provide when registering or using our services as well as information from other sources. We collect and use that information to provide you with our goods and services and to promote and improve our goods and services. We may share your information with our related companies and any of us may be in contact for those purposes (including by email and SMS). We may also use your information as described when we collect information from you. If you do not provide us with requested information we may not be able to provide you with the goods and services you require. We disclose your information to our related companies, service and content providers, including those located outside Australia. Where you have entered a competition, we may disclose your personal information to authorities if you are a prize winner or otherwise as required by law.
16.9. Camden Markets 2570 reserve the right to change or alter these terms at any time without notice or disclosure. It is the applicant’s responsibility to read terms and conditions in full at the time of every application.
17 Indoor Market
17.1 Weather: This will be an indoor market, there will be no cancellations due to weather. The only exception to this is an “act of god” where it is unsafe to trade and example of this would be flooding. If a market is cancelled due to extreme weather or an act of god, a refund will be issued minus the non-refundable admin fee.
17.2 Power: Access to power is strictly by approval only. Please note this on your application form and the events team will be in touch with you.
17.3 You must provide: Your own tables, tablecloths and chairs, alongside your products and finances. Camden Markets can not provide you spare tables or items for stall presentation. We can not allow you to bring a gazebo for this event.
18 Outdoor Market
18.1 Weather:
This is an outdoor market, this means that there will be weather factors that come into play. In the case of light wind or light rain the markets will go ahead. The Markets will only be cancelled when weather is extreme and it is not safe to trade. When this occurs as much notice will be given. If a market is cancelled due to extreme weather or an act of god, a refund will be issued minus the non-refundable admin fee.
18.2 Power: Silent generators will be permitted at Casula only. There is no provision for power by Camden Markets or by venue.
18.3 You must provide: Your own tables, tablecloths, and chairs, alongside your products and finances. Camden Markets cannot provide you spare tables or items for stall presentation. Gazebos are encouraged and must be weighted down. You will be asked to get weights or cease trading if we feel your area is not safe for the community and yourself.
